Much Foe, Much Honour
During the Venetian Wars Frundsberg once had had the motto „Much Foe, much honour“ on his lips. The longer he fought in the battle fields the more he distanced himself from the glorification of weapons and violance. He realized that the affliction of the people by war, the depraved life of the mercenaries during the war and the ungreatfulness of the warlords after the war were the greatest evils of all.
Georg von Frundsberg died at Mindel Castle on August 20, 1528.
